Eliminate all VA activities except for processing the vouchers veterans use for private medical services. The cost savings would be enormous. Convert all the clinics & hospitals to private use. This lack of care by the VA has been going on a long time.I believe that many of the veteran suicides are due to the psychotropic drugs that are given out like candy to these vets.All of these drugs s and can make you insane.This should be investigated also as these drugs are over prescribed and the mind set at the VA as well as in the private sector is to throw different types of these meds at them hoping to hit a solution.It is the same as the horrible use of ridilin and other drugs of that nature where so many children are medicated without just cause.Kickbacks and vacations from drug companies.I was in the Marines back in the 70's and have been to the VA a couple of times.I never want to go back there again.REPORT COMMENTS

There are plenty of options for how to privatize various components of VA healthcare, from making Vets eligible for Medicare to enrolling them in the same insurance program used by other Federal workers.
