How dare the Metropolitan Opera, the most important opera in the world, put on such a blatantly anti-sematic opera as "The Death of Klinghoffer". I remember the incident very clearly. Where is your moral courage to tell the truth through the performance and show how barbaric the Palestinian behavior was! When we excuse evil because of so called "just cause" or "extenuating circumstances" we become complicit in promoting it. Will you allow the Met to become a mouth piece for evil and this untenable behavior? If you have any courage, you will not allow this opera to be performed. If you do run it, it will become a permanent blemish on you and the opera company! An excellent work of art is not an excuse for performing a blatantly anti-Semitic work that propagates lies about Jews. Where is your conscience? If a Jew threw an innocent, crippled, elderly Palestinian off a ship, you would you use the incident to write an opera to excuse the Jew's behavior since the Palestinians are on record as wanting to completely annihilate the entire country of Israel?
