We live on SS and VA Disability we cannot afford to have a shut down, if there is one, we will no be able to pay our bills, buy medicine, food, etc. Let the Democrats eat the Obamacare, since the Republicans did not vote for it. I'm a conservative Republican, I don't like ObamaCare, but we've got to stop playing stupidball. Akin and Murdock cost us two Senate seats. A shutdown will prevent us from retaking the Senate. We've got to wise up! Why not see if we can make incremental progress toward eliminating the worst provisions of Obamacare?
