Since symptoms for the disease don't appear until after a person has had the virus 2-21 days, travel restrictions from areas where the virus has been found should be in place. As you know, the average fatality rate for those who get the virus is around 50%--a very serious statistic that the government shouldn't take lightly. According to the World Health Organization's website "[t]he current outbreak in west Africa, (first cases notified in March 2014), is the largest and most complex Ebola outbreak since the Ebola virus was first discovered in 1976. There have been more cases and deaths in this outbreak than all others combined." Please encourage travel restrictions to be put in place!REPORT COMMENTS
