My Father was a WWII vet and the VA at Castle Point NY was horrible with him. One Easter Sunday he had been a patient there and was burning up with fever. No nurses or Doctors to be found. I picked up the phone and got his Dr there. My Dad had Alzheimer's and a 104 degree temp. I was furious. The VA needs big help and fast!REPORT COMMENTS

The VA is redundant. It should be phased out and all treatment should be done in the private sector where vets have a chance at a much quicker response. Medical and emotional care can be done outside the VA just like all the patients from other hazardous occupations.REPORT COMMENTS
