In my opinion,, this is the ONLY Practical way to protect the children attending schools. WHY this hasn't been done well before now is nonsensical! Nothing will make the children or anyone 100% safe. But, metal detectors aren't enough. One or several armed teachers as well as an armed guard outside is needed for best security, the numbers depending upon the size of the school. Some day there will likely be terrorist attacks on schools. Metal detectors won't protect well against bombs or automatic weapons.REPORT COMMENTS

The only way to stop a killer on a killing rampage is with lethal force and armed guards protecting our children in schools will accomplish that purpose. Schools should not be sitting ducks for some nut to go in and open fire on them. The teachers, office staff, and principals should be trained on how to fire a weapon, and be allowed to used them in the event of an attack. I think all schools should have metal dectors!REPORT COMMENTS
