Putting hundred of thousands of government workers out of work and services being left unpaid for is unacceptable. Congress needs to do their jobs running our government which is what the taxpayers pay them to do.REPORT COMMENTS

Thanks Republicans - I'm a federal employee charged with cleaning your air, water and land. Thanks for three pay freezes, 11 furlough days and now an indefinite furlough. You will never again get a vote from me, family or friends.REPORT COMMENTS

Our country is broke, because it seems as though the U.S. is helping out every country in the world - instead of taking care of our "backyard" first!REPORT COMMENTS

I'm not even of age to "begin thinking about politics and voting," and I can already see that this is beyond ridiculous and corrupt. Okay, so the government is shut down due to funds, but congress is continued to get paid? I don't think so. How about we cut that instead of cutting national parks. I haven't had much experience in America, but I already want to leave. I once had hope for this country, but it turns out it was false hope. If all we can achieve in this government is constant bickering between to opposing political powers and greed for money, then count me out.REPORT COMMENTS

The shutdown is not unconstitutional. It is just incredibly stupid and pigheaded. There are people in the way of progress and the betterment of America and they are called the 'tea party'.REPORT COMMENTS

This is absolutely ridiculous. You need to bite the bullet, accept this, and get a budget passed. Affordable Healthcare is a law now, supported as constitutional by the Judicial branch. What the GOP is doing right now is treasonous in its unconstitutionality, and it's making everyone suffer.REPORT COMMENTS

This is madness! I work in a middle school and have students more mature than this. Let these personal vendettas go. You are making the entire party look bad. If you are willing to let hundreds of thousands (and our economy) decline because of this, you do not deserve to remain in your positions. This is not service. It's ego. Shame on you.REPORT COMMENTS

Additionally, NOT ONE OF YOU SHOULD BE PAID if you are willing to prevent hard-working Americans from working. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. You make me sad to be an American.REPORT COMMENTS
