Folks There is no flights from West Africa to US. You are all being led to a false issue. What we need is to stop anyone who has been to this countries based on their passports or citizenship from entering US. Fly medical people volunteers and supplies on military flights with mandatory quarantine. Allocate unlimited amount of for vaccines and testing, as well as fighting Ebola in those 3 African countries. Or we will all perish.

this President is doing nothing to protect the citizens of this once great republic.Everyone warned him to not allow flight from the affected countries and once again because he listens to no one and is just a narcissistic person who will never listen to anyone at anytime. This President is a danger to this country. He needs to be impeached before we no longer have the greatest republic in the world!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to say that it is unconscionable that flights from any West African nation or any nation that is or could be affected by ebola have not been banned from coming into the United States. Additionally, as there are is now an innocent civilian has been stricken with the disease, that we handle any cases in this country with the most severe caution to prevent its spread. The cost whether political or financial of putting in place such sanctions and protections is completely irrelevant when compared to the enormous risk of loss of life and strain that an outbreak of this disease would put on both our society and economy. This is a disease that is largely unknown to mankind and the ramifications of and proper handling of it are not yet fully understood or comprehended. Therefore, any assurances by the medical community or government agencies of that nature, regardless of how knowledgeable and intelligent they are, cannot simply be true as there has just not been enough experience or time for us to truly know what to do. At what cost are you and other legislators, administrators, and leaders of our United States government willing to accept, for the sake of being politically correct or maintaining a certain character on the world stage or to the citizens of this country? A disease does not discriminate who it affects based on political parties, social class, race, or any other type of standing in society. There is no earthly thing that should ever be worth more than human life. Having said this, please consider your family and my family in the decisions that you make on this situation. We are all universally susceptible to being severely affected by this situation and I just ask that you please remember that our responsibility is to Americans first and foremost as this country is the safe harbor for our freedom and the world's freedom and we owe it to those who came before us and died for this country to protect its citizens and their families above all else. So, in the name of protecting the health, happiness, and life of those we love and all human life in this country, please be an advocate on behalf of yourself and all of us in making sure that any potential spread of ebola through travel into this country or within this country is not even possible. Please insist that any flights to go to or from any infected nations are not allowed and that any occurrences within this nation are handled with the utmost severity and caution regardless of any temporary inconveniences. Thank you.

Our President and Congressional leaders needs to put the protection of the American people first. I'm sure there is a way to help West Africa, without putting the lives of the American people in danger. It is very unfortunate what is happening in West Africa, but we cannot dismiss what it could do to our country by allowing air travel to and from West Africa. Too many risks are being taken. Whatever reason the President and Congress have for allowing all of this to go on, is not worth the consequences it would have on America.

As a practicing emergency room physician, I can attest to the time proven ability to contain infection by quarantine. If we don't learn from history, we repeat it.

Stop the flights to the US out of West Africa. You are out of your mind if you think simply taking peoples temperature will identify those infected at airports. Stop the flights NOW!!!
