The NFL is not a club, it is a business and should not be tax exempt.

I suppose this is something I could support; maybe I need to get more information on this issue. But we need to put the proper focus and emphasis on those now paying taxes paying TOO MUCH and getting their taxes DOWN or ELIMINATED! We can start by eliminating corporate income, capital gains, inheritance, gift and other taxes! Where do Dick and others stand on the above and other tax issues? I'd like to comment on other, random issues here as well. A little while back, Brit Hume was foaming at the mouth on Fox News Sunday over amnesty for illegals; he pointed out the dictionary definition of amnesty - that it means a complete and total forgiveness of some wrong, etc. - and then said "nobody's calling for that". Well, suppose someone broke into someone's home and stole $1 million in cash. Let's say they caught him, he went before a judge, and the judge said "OK, here's what we're going to do. We'll make you pay a fine, pick up trash on the courthouse lawn for awhile and spend time in prison. But you get to keep the $1 million in cash that you stole (let's assume they recovered the money). Would you call that a form of amnesty? But you know what else is amnesty? We catch illegals, take them to the border and politely escort them out of the country. Why? Because, by all rights, we should make them spend time in jail and so forth before ejecting them from the country! This is what other countries do (including, I think, Mexico!)! And what is with all the Romney kool-aid drinkers who think he should run again? The only way Republicans are going to win in 2016 is if they nominate a conservative in the mold of Ronald Reagan; such a candidate would bring all the conservatives, Tea Party people (is there really a difference?), near-conservatives and others to the polls and have them voting Republican. Such a candidate would also keep the more liberal Republicans and others, and, unlike a liberal/"moderate" Republican, would convert Hispanics, women, lower-income, blacks and others to our side. I'm sure if you looked back at polling data for, say, the 1980 election cycle, you would find early polls that showed wishy-washy, liberal-leaning Republicans like Howard Baker, George H.W. Bush, Bob Dole and others doing better against Jimmy Carter than Ronald Reagan. Don't tell me; I suppose you're going say these other guys would have taken 55% of the vote or more against Carter! Finally, it's kind of hilarious that liberals/big government people, in an attempt to prop up George H.W. Bush regarding his having raised taxes as president (and brazenly breaking a 1988 pledge not to do so), relatively recently gave him the "Profiles in Courage" award: they gave Bush, for raising taxes, and award that is named, by extension, for a guy who CUT taxes (John Kennedy, of course)!
