Tax payers funded the creation of it and it is of strategic importance to our nation economically, militarily, news wise, and socially. The internet is used internationally, by our generosity. The biggest problem with this is the potential for censorship. We as human beings have a fundamental right to express our ideas, and free debate is the best way to exchange ideas with other people. The modern epoch of social media drives many things, including politics. My fear is that, as George Soros has said, they will be able to exercise unprecedented power in shaping people's ideas, thus enabling them to interfere with elections in the U.S. This is a clear and present danger to our ability as American citizens to keep the upper hand in governing ourselves here where we have Constitutionally affirmed rights to self-determination, self-governance, of government of, for, and by the people. Unfortunately, our rights and liberties have been steadily eroded over the last 50 years, accelerating with the incumbency of Barak Hussein Obama. This is untenable, intolerable, and must be stopped. Blood must be shed. We don't want a civil war, nor do we want open war against the government.
