There's a good reason why the Constitution's 4th amendment rights were given to the people; intrusive government knows no bounds. Give away a bit of those rights and, soon, the voracious gov will have all the rights and you and me, none. Edward Snowden, the people's hero, has let us have a peep into our government's intrusion into our personal freedoms but every day there seem to be more revelations as to just how pervasive a theft this is. We basically seem to be being spied on, photographed and intruded upon by every governmental agency that exists. I don't know if mere petitions are going to do anything more than express our disgust and horror at such revelations but it's a start in the right direction. I totally agree. The Fourth Amendment is being trampled on in the tired old excuse of National Security. I am tired of 9/11 being used as a scape goat for all our international ill's.
