Unless you want to wipe out the entire nation considering the fact that Ebola may mutate and become airborne contagious - please use some common sense and close the borders. Even in the 1300's people were smart enough to quarantine people with the plague.

Ebola has been around since the 1970's yet has been contained to certain parts of Africa. We have now seen it explode in Africa and jump to the mainland USA. We no longer have the comfort of permitting free travel to the US.

We must close the borders now and stop air flights into Ebola infected countries to protect the United States! Mr. President if you still want to help West Africa air drop in medical supplies! We must quarantine all areas with the virus or you will destory everyone on the planet! Common sense now!

This is a deadly disease and flights can be detained temporarily, and border countries need border fences. I feel for those who deal with this in Africa and elsewhere, but we have to protect our people here isn't this correct?

Please limit flights; our hospitals need more time to prepare for ebola patients!

Stop this before our country looks like West Africa. With a possible incubation as long as this thing has, we could already be doomed. Stop people coming in from places where it's rampant.

The Obama Administration is pursuing an insane policy to allow up to 150 visitors per day (54,750 people per year) from the Ebola-infected regions of Africa to come here and potentially infect our population with this incredibly dangerous virus. No-one knows how many enter through our porous southern border. Even though there are now plans to take the temperature of the visitors at 5 major airports, the fever doesn’t appear until near the end of the incubation period (up to 21 days), so taking the temperatures can be totally ineffective in determining who should be allowed to enter our country. Also, visitors may fly into an airport that monitoring does not take place. Ebola is a virus, and even though we have been assured that it takes close proximity and contact with bodily fluids to become infected, there is some evidence that the virus may mutate into one which can be spread by airborne contamination (as one senior WHO health official has recently stated), which would make it a much more dangerous threat to travelers and others that may be near an Ebola-infected person who sneezes. Pets may also become infected. I strongly encourage readers to contact the Obama Administration, along with their Representatives and Senators, to insist that the US immediately institute a temporary suspension of travel visas from the three main countries involved. This is the most dangerous health issue facing our country since HIV and AIDS. Ebola kills 71% of those infected and too little is known about the transmittal of the virus. To knowingly allow any potential introduction of this disease into our country is bordering on criminal behavior.
