We need to run our government the same as we run our households. Balance the budget, knock off stupid wasteful spending, then take on health care if the citizens want it. Our country can not afford to stay on this path of spending destruction. If we can't afford it, we don't need it. Our country is out of control and our elected officials (either party) should be doing the math and remembering their oath when they took their jobs to uphold the constitution. Not violate it!Oct 13th, 2013Neal T. from Mccall, ID signed.

Balance the budget, stop wasteful spending, and start reducing the number of people that rely on welfare.REPORT COMMENTS

All Americans regardless of political party affiliation think/know that the national debt is out of control and spending must be curbed and the nation's finances must budgeted just as Americans are required to do for our personal finances. The president and congress are responsible for doing the same intelligent action with the national budget. Why is the party that is trying to "hold the line" being vilified by the president, the democrats and the media? The biggest shame is on whomever is insisting on maintaining their particular party line whether it is the president or congress. Statements of "who blinked first " are counter productive and beneath the role of an elected representative. Time is now for all parties to approve a budget that this country can afford...54% or the tax paying citizens of the country cannot afford to be penalized any longer. God bless all of you and may He assist you in your endeavors. Sincerely, Juanita Charba WatkinsREPORT COMMENTS

Spending on Unconstitutional Federal Programs must stop. If the Federal Government does not have the express authority under Articles I, II, & III to design, implement, administer, & fund a specific function, then by the 10th Amendment, the program is unconstitutional. Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, the EPA, the FCC, & others fall into this bucket. Though no one cared about the Constitution for years, we are waking up now. The spending must stop or the USA and our fellow citizens will face horrible economic & legal consequences of our own making. For the sake of future generations, stop the spending & reform the Federal Budget.REPORT COMMENTS
